Ama Yangri, meaning “Mother Yangri,” is revered by locals as the protector and guardian of the Helambu region. Located about 90 km north of Kathmandu, it is the highest peak closest to the capital, offering stunning Himalayan views. The area is inhabited by Sherpas, Tamangs, and Chhetries and forms an essential part of the Helambu Circuit Trek, situated in Sindupalchok district within Langtang National Park.
