Booking Terms & Conditions — Explorease Holidays

These booking terms apply to all treks, tours, and expeditions organized by Explorease Holidays. By confirming your trip, you agree to the following policies.

1. Booking and Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit (usually 20% of the total cost) confirms your booking.

  • The remaining balance is due on arrival in Kathmandu or in advance if required for special permits or services.

  • Payments are accepted via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash (clients cover any applicable fees).

2. Cancellation and Refunds

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

  • Refunds depend on the timing of cancellation:

    • More than 30 days before departure: deposit retained

    • 15–30 days before departure: 30–50% of cost retained

    • Less than 14 days / No-show: full cost retained

  • If Explorease Holidays cancels due to unforeseen circumstances, clients may opt for a full refund or rescheduling. External costs, like flights, are not covered.

3. Itinerary Changes and Risks

  • Trips may be adjusted due to weather, health, political, or local conditions.

  • Alternative options will be provided, but the company is not liable for extra costs, unused services, or inherent trekking risks.

4. Health, Safety, and Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory, covering:

    • Medical emergencies

    • High-altitude trekking and evacuation

    • Helicopter rescue

    • Personal belongings

  • Travelers must ensure their own fitness and health; some expeditions may require a doctor’s certificate.

5. Permits, Conduct, and Liability

  • Mandatory permits, including TIMS, national parks, and restricted areas, are arranged by Explorease Holidays.

  • All foreign trekkers must be accompanied by a licensed guide; solo trekking is restricted.

  • Clients must respect local culture, environment, and customs. Misconduct may result in trip termination without refund.

  • Explorease Holidays is not liable for third-party services, delays, or unforeseen incidents beyond its control.
