Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most iconic and sought-after treks in the Himalayas. Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak at 8,848 meters, sits on the Nepal–China (Tibet) border. Known locally as Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, Everest has fascinated adventurers for decades.
This trek follows the legendary route of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, who first reached the summit in 1953. Trekking through the heart of the Khumbu Valley, you will gradually acclimatize while enjoying some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. The region is home to four of the six highest mountains on Earth—Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu—making every step of the journey a photographer’s dream.
Along the way, you’ll experience the rich Sherpa culture, visit ancient Buddhist monasteries, stone stupas, and mani walls, and explore the UNESCO-listed Sagarmatha National Park, known for its unique Himalayan flora and fauna. The Sherpa people, famed for their endurance, warmth, and humor, will welcome you with unmatched hospitality.
A major highlight is Kala Patthar (5,550m), just a short walk from Gorakshep, where you can witness panoramic views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Changtse, and the Khumbu Glacier—a truly unforgettable sight.
