Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to your selected category hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, you can rest from your journey or take a short walk to explore the nearby streets. An overnight stay in Kathmandu allows time to prepare for the adventure ahead and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal’s capital city.

Day 02 :

Preparation, Briefings, and Last-Minute Shopping

Today is dedicated to trip preparation and official briefings at the Department of Tourism. You will complete necessary formalities, review the climbing plan, and meet your guide for a detailed safety and equipment briefing. The rest of the day is free for last-minute shopping for any personal gear or supplies in Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 03 :

Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m)

Today you will travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara, either by scenic drive or a short flight. The drive takes approximately seven hours, passing through beautiful countryside, rivers, and hills, while the flight takes around 25 minutes and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04 :

Pokhara – Beni – Tatopani (2,530m)

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Beni, the gateway to the Kali Gandaki region. From Beni, begin your trek toward Tatopani, walking through villages, terraced fields, and forested trails along the river valley. Upon reaching Tatopani, famous for its natural hot springs, you will check in to a local lodge. Overnight stay at lodge in Tatopani.

Day 05 :

Tatopani – Ghasa (2,010m) | Trek Duration: 6 hours

Today’s trek takes you from Tatopani to Ghasa, descending along scenic trails that pass through lush forests, traditional villages, and terraced farmland. Enjoy the serene landscapes of the Kali Gandaki valley as you trek at a moderate pace. Upon arrival in Ghasa, settle into your lodge for an overnight stay and relax after the day’s journey.

Day 06 :

Ghasa – Larjung (2,550m) | Trek Duration: 6 hours

Today you will trek from Ghasa to Larjung, gradually ascending through dense forests, terraced fields, and charming local villages. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and experience the local culture of the region. After approximately six hours of trekking, arrive in Larjung and check in to your lodge for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 07 :

Larjung – Marpha (2,670m) | Trek Duration: 5 hours

Today’s trek leads you from Larjung to the picturesque town of Marpha, famous for its apple orchards and traditional Thakali culture. The trail gently ascends and descends through charming villages, pine forests, and terraced fields, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After around five hours of trekking, arrive in Marpha and check in to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 08 :

Marpha – Yak Kharka (3,900m) | Trek Duration: 5 hours

Today you trek from Marpha to Yak Kharka, gradually ascending through alpine forests and open meadows. The trail offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and the surrounding valleys. Yak Kharka, a high-altitude pasture, is an ideal spot for acclimatization and enjoying the serene Himalayan environment. After approximately five hours of trekking, arrive at the campsite and settle in for an overnight stay in tents.

Day 09 :

Yak Kharka – Thapa Pass (5,244m) | Trek Duration: 6 hours

Today’s trek is a challenging yet rewarding journey from Yak Kharka to Thapa Pass. You will ascend steadily through high-altitude trails, rocky terrain, and snow-covered slopes, with breathtaking views of surrounding peaks and glaciers. This trek is a crucial acclimatization day, preparing you for higher altitudes. After approximately six hours of trekking, reach Thapa Pass and set up camp for an overnight stay.

Day 10 :

Thapa Peak Summit (6,012m) – Kalopani (3,930m)

Today is the highlight of your expedition: the summit push to Thapa Peak (6,012m). Starting early in the morning, you will ascend the peak, navigating steep snow slopes with crampons and ice axe, enjoying panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges from the top. After celebrating your achievement, begin the descent toward Kalopani (3,930m). Trek through high-altitude terrain and alpine landscapes before arriving at your overnight tea house.

Day 11 :

Kalopani – Tatopani (2,530m)

Today, you will trek or drive from Kalopani down to Tatopani, retracing the scenic trails through forests, rivers, and local villages. Upon arrival, check in to your tea house and enjoy the famous natural hot springs of Tatopani, perfect for relaxing tired muscles after your summit climb. Spend the evening resting and soaking in the warm waters.

Day 12 :

Tatopani – Beni – Pokhara (930m) | Drive Duration: 6–7 hours

Today, drive from Tatopani to Beni, and continue onward to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic landscapes of rivers, terraced fields, and hills along the way. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can rest at your hotel or take a short walk to enjoy the lakeside ambiance. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 13 :

Pokhara – Kathmandu

Today you will return from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You can choose a scenic drive, which takes about seven hours through hills, rivers, and picturesque villages, or a short flight of approximately 25 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, preparing for your departure or onward journey.

Day 14 :

Departure from Kathmandu

On the final day of your journey, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight home. Alternatively, you may choose to join other programs or tours in Nepal if you wish to extend your adventure. This concludes your Dhampus Peak climbing expedition.
